The International Currency Association is a global not-for-profit organization situated in London. It represents members from the currency industry across the globe.

“We welcome Schuler as a new member. Their technical know-how, their excellent reputation in the industry, and the broad range of applications enabled by their technology will strengthen the ICA’s range of expertise. Cash is still the biggest and most fundamental payment platform in today's society. But for it to remain so widely used, increased innovation, better use of big data, and more automation and digitization for more efficiency is needed. Schuler’s experience in that area will be very welcome”, stated Ralf Wintergerst, Chairman of the ICA.

Dieter Merkle, Head of Minting at Schuler and Schuler’s representative in the ICA sees “a strong need in the industry and beyond to promote cash and to provide a framework that fosters innovation and offers commercial and technical best practices, which are the ICA’s two main objectives. Schuler is very much involved in the development of new technologies and in setting industry standards. Innovation is very important to us. We are honoured to join the ICA and will do everything in our power to support the association in achieving its goals.”
