Campaigns

The broad activities and campaigns of the ICA will encompass the following:

  • Defend and promote the use of cash as a key option for payments;
  • Foster technological innovation;
  • Maintain the highest levels of confidence in currency and the broader supply chain;
  • Anticipate and prepare the functionalities of the cash of tomorrow;
  • Create a transparent and open communications platform;
  • Develop educational programmes for and spread best practice.

This will be achieved through advocacy, education, research and communication.

Further details on the various initiatives will be made available shortly but, in the meantime, four committees have been established to lead these:

  • Communications – headed by Robin Mackenzie (De La Rue)
  • Membership – headed by Tod Niedeck (Crane Currency)
  • Cash Alliance – headed by Andrea Nitsche (Giesecke & Devrient) and Gerben van Wijk (KBA-NotaSys)
  • Best Practice – headed by Barna Barabas (Jura).
